Originally a rural New England native, I’ve also called home places like the Pacific Northwest, Sweden, New York, and San Francisco before arriving in Colorado. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Portland State University in Community Development, and a Master’s degree from Naropa University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling.

In my late 20's, I took my first step into the therapy setting. I have always been an explorer of sorts, in search of my place, people, purpose, and most importantly, an authentic relationship to myself and my own story.

Therapy arrived in my life when I reached a point where I could no longer carry the heavy feeling of my aloneness on my own. I felt depressed and anxious in a way that felt debilitating and confusing. The pressure I placed upon myself to “hurry up and get better” and the simultaneous desperation I felt to belong were gripping me, and I felt unable to truly bring myself out into the world.

It was during this time that I realized the power and impact of therapy for my life. Throughout my personal journey, I found relationship with myself, which was, and continues to be, a powerful unveiling. The light, the shadow, the in between; I found a sense of hard-earned peace that will be a practice for the rest of my life. Beginning therapy was a turning point that eventually inspired me to become a therapist myself, holding, too, this precious space with others on their respective paths of self discovery and healing.

I live in Denver, Colorado and love to practice yoga, rock climb, cook, hike, and create community.
